Great projects are built by great people!

This summer, Dawson is piloting a 4/10 work schedule, giving employees one long weekend each month to recharge, spend time with family, and enjoy the places we call home.

It's just one example of how we're investing in our people through training, career development, employee ownership, flexibility, and a culture that puts people first.

We're proud of the work we build, but we're even more proud of the people who build it.

Check out our Ketchikan Airport Terminal Expansion project!

The terminal expansion continues to take shape! ✈️

Recent progress includes exterior brickwork, new window installation, roofing certification, and major interior mechanical and electrical work.

As crews prepare to connect the new structure to the existing terminal, planning remains focused on safety, resilience, and minimizing impacts to travelers.

Since 1915, this long riveted steel pipe has carried water down the mountain to help power Juneau. It was built 44 years before Alaska was even a state, and it's still doing its job today!

Over the next 4 years, we'll be working with Alaska Electric Light & Power to replace 4,300 feet of pipe at Salmon Creek Dam, helping ensure this system continues delivering reliable hydropower to the community.

While this project wouldn't normally take 4 years to complete, Juneau needs this water flowing from July through March. That gives Dawson Superintendent Mike Vanderjack and his crew just a three-month window each year to work on each section — a challenge they're proud to take on as they safely deliver this multi-phase project for the Juneau community.

A new home for Indigenous stories is taking shape in downtown Bellingham!

We're honored to be building the future home of Setting Sun Circle, formerly Children of the Setting Sun Productions, in the old Mindport building on Holly Street.

Before the doors open next year, Setting Sun Circle is inviting the community to meet them tomorrow during Bellingham's Indigenous Art Walk, Friday, June 5. The evening will feature artists, performers and community leaders, plus a chance to visit the space itself.

If you're downtown tomorrow evening, stop by and meet the people who will soon call this building their home.

Standing at the harbor that bears her husband's name, Anita Statter cut the ribbon on the latest phase of improvements at Statter Harbor.

After the ribbon was cut, Don Statter's family walked the new baywalk together as Auke Bay Elementary students sang the Alaska Flag Song.

The project adds a contiguous baywalk along the waterfront, along with pedestrian and bicycle access, lighting, landscaping and outdoor seating — creating new ways for residents and visitors to experience the harbor.

Don D. Statter dedicated much of his career to Alaska's waterfronts and public infrastructure. Watching his family celebrate another chapter at the harbor named in his honor was a reminder that great projects can continue serving communities long after they're built.

We're proud to have partnered with City and Borough of Juneau on a project that will serve the Juneau community for years to come.

Slice of Heaven is so back!

Two years ago a car crashed through their building, destroying the patio space as well as a large part of a wall.

Last Friday, owner Marci cut the ribbon on the grand reopening of her bakery in front of a brand new wall and entryway. We feel incredibly lucky to have helped rebuild this space and play a part in bringing this community staple back to life.

Small businesses like Slice of Heaven are part of what makes Bellingham feel like home.
