Comcast Cares Day in the We Grow Garden! 04/25/2024

Comcast Cares Day 2017 was a HUGE success! The crew of 125 volunteers, made up of local Comcast employees and their families, braved wind and rain to build and fill garden beds, a huge fence, a garden shed and seating, a market stand, garden signs, bird houses, AND MORE to get our brand new We Grow Garden location ready to go for the 2017 season. Thank you so much to everyone at Comcast, as well as the many other community partners who donated their time, labor, and supplies to make this garden a reality: Ram Construction General Contractors, SilvaStar Forest Products, Windsor Plywood - Bellingham, The Philbin Group Landscape Architecture, Growing Veterans, Portal Way Farm and Garden, Whatcom Community Foundation, Bellingham Youth Philanthropy Program, Hardware Sales, HD Fowler Co Inc, Cowden Gravel & Ready Mix, WSU Whatcom County Master Gardeners, and the City of Bellingham, Washington - Government! We could not have done it without your help.

Spring is here and with it comes some sunny days! During those sunny days, it’s a great idea to get nutrients on your field while your grass is growing. Rent the Whatcom CD Manure Spreader to apply manure to your fields. It only costs $75 for a 4-day use. Learn more at: www.whatcomcd.org/equipment-share-program
