Sterling silver is much softer than gold, making it a metal that will, over time, collect marks of your moments lived. It also means that, in order to withstand as many experiences as diamonds can, it needs a design approach that’s robust and uncompromising.
Silver won’t be my recommendation for a wide array of rings meant to hold precious gems (especially natural diamonds). However, a design that offers an opportunity to embed a sapphire or lab diamond into a scutlpural, sturdy setting can make for a lustrous opportunity to have your diamond and wear it too.
