We stopped by one of our recent lighting projects last night and were absolutely blown away by the creativity and craftsmanship of our team.

The real showstopper? A concealed LED strip light tucked inside a massive split boulder, creating a dramatic glow that looks like the rock itself is illuminated from within.

It’s details like these that transform a landscape from beautiful during the day to unforgettable at night.

Every once in a while, a project comes along where we get to completely transform a space—and this Bellingham backyard was one of them.
What started as a challenging, sloped backyard is now a fully reimagined outdoor living space featuring:
🔥 Elevated patio with a custom powder-coated steel railing and built-in fire pit
🪨 Rock retaining walls to stabilize the slope
🌲 Decorative cedar fencing and gates
🏡 New deck (constructed by others)
🧱 Lower Western Interlock retaining wall
🏗️ Cast-in-place concrete walls (completed by our concrete partner)
🌿 New plantings, irrigation, and landscape lighting throughout
This project required extensive coordination, creative problem-solving, and access through a neighboring property to make it all possible. The end result is almost unrecognizable from where we started.

A quick stop back at this patio + planting installation from last fall and it’s safe to say the landscape is coming to life 🌿
The plantings are filling in beautifully, softening the permanent surfaces and making the entire space feel more natural and established with each season. Projects like this only get better with time.

Tucked beneath the north side of Galbraith Mountain, this project was all about creating a landscape that feels like a natural extension of the mountain itself.
Our vision centered around a flowing, naturalized flowering space designed for year-round enjoyment — blending structure with an organic feel. The team focused heavily on irregular symmetry and texture, combining corten steel planters, Castohn dimensional steps, steel edging, fine gravel pathways, and rugged Anaconda flagstone to create a space that feels both refined and grounded in the surrounding environment.
