Cold caller: I need to talk to my wife first

Me: I totally understand that, it sounds like she may have some questions of her own. Tell you what, let’s get an appointment on the books, go talk to your wife and send me any additional questions that come up so I can come to the meeting prepared to answer both of your questions. Now is that such a terrible idea?

It’s not sales if you are pressuring people. Sales is about asking the right questions and coming prepared.
