Seattle Humane's mission is to create a kinder world for pets and their people through impactful programs and support services.
Founded in 1897, Seattle Humane proudly promotes the human-animal bond by saving and serving pets in need. We are more than a shelter – Seattle Humane is a pet resource center for the region, providing adoption services, a pet food bank and support for pet owners, low-cost spay/neuter surgeries and wellness exams, humane education for all ages and more. UMBO HAS BEEN ADOPTED! A heartfelt thank you to Joel McHale for supporting Seattle Humane and rescue dogs everywhere. We are so grateful that he took the time to help shine a spotlight on our mission and on wonderful dogs like Umbo, who was then adopted before this could air! But there are lots of other amazing pets waiting to find new homes at Seattle Humane, so come meet them and tune in tonight at 6:30 p.m. PT on truTV and HBO Max to watch the 2026 Stanley Pup!

54 cats and 28 dogs were adopted over the last week, including Carmy, who first came to Seattle Humane over two months ago! We’re ecstatic for all of these animals and their new families!
There are plenty of dogs, cats and critters available now, so visit us when we reopen at noon tomorrow to meet your match!
