Kindering

June is Child Vision Awareness Month. The World Health Organization estimates that at least one billion people globally have a visual impairment.

Kindering’s TCVIs (Teacher of Children with Visual Impairments) provide services directly to families who have a child with a suspected or diagnosed visual impairment. TCVIs work with together with a child’s therapy team and family to provide education about eye conditions, strategies to access learning and development, and specific teaching of skills using alternative methods for learning when children are unable to access their vision.

Kindering will be closed on Thursday, June 4, 2026, for a Staff Development Day. All classes and therapies will be cancelled. If you have any questions, please reach out to your direct service provider.

Staff Development Days are dedicated to required trainings and agencywide updates to ensure staff remain current and well-informed. Thank you for your understanding!

🌞Registrations OPEN for our Summer Camps! 🌞

Our therapist-led Summer Camp is designed for kids ages 3-6 and 7–10 who benefit from extra support participating in camp activities and peer play. In a fun, supportive small-group environment, children will build:

💬 Communication skills
🏃 Motor skills
🎉 Confidence connecting with peers

This camp is a great stepping stone for kids who thrive with individualized support before joining larger community camps. Through adapted activities and guided play, children can practice important life skills while having FUN and making meaningful friendships.
