Speed Ladder Sprint Series
My high school softball girls trying one of my drills. In each portion of this drill we are working on a different running skill. Quick feet through the ladder, deceleration to the cone, dropping low as we would for a ground ball, and then quick acceleration and powerful first step to drive out of it.

Nothing like seeing your athletes grow up to become amazing young women and to be taller than you š. A lil from training these ladies over the years.
OH MB High Knees to Push Sprint!
We like to layer drills with multiple movements. A strong core and good mechanics are key for running faster which is the focus in high knees drill.
- The Push to Sprint is focusing on power and that first step.
LACROSSE TRAINING is one of my favorites because it makes me think outside the box on speed drills due to having the arms occupied with the stick. š„š„

Focus: Footwork, change of direction, and nonlinear movement to prepare for game movement.
BACK TO THE BASICS
Sometimes we donāt spend enough time on the foundational drills. Itās always good to revisit less complex drills to make sure athletes are able to execute properly. Donāt assume because their older that they donāt need those early beginner drills reincorporated back into their workouts.

Defensive Football Drill
Drill: Backpedal to Sprint
Goal: to develop a strong transition from backpedal to sprint. To be able to change direction while sprinting fast to keep up with your opponent. Focus on quick hips to make transition smooth!
Drill of the Day: C SKIPS
to our Felite Winter Speed and Conditioning Clinic. Focusing on foundational drills and this is how I breakdown the C-skip. Itās all about rhythm and giving them a good visual.

DEFENSIVE BACK - REACTIVE DRILL
Drill: Backpedal (3-5 yards) with two drop step sprints based off the directed pointed.
Focus: itās key to include reactive drills to your session. When drills are planned out it eliminates the āin gameā experience.
