I was inspired to write "Antwon" for many reasons that all resulted to "acceptance;" even from one's own parent. I witness too often when out in the community, a parent talking down to their child. Speaking to our children in a demeaning manner is something that my wife and I refuse to do in our household. Sadly to say, that's not every child's, nor an adult's story. If one can't feel accepted in their home, nor from this world, not even within their peer group, then what's the use?? That's "Antwon's" story. I thank you in advance for not only supporting my film through your viewing and sharing of it, but for also joining my advocacy in building individuals up, one encouragement at a time.

This week, I’m releasing Antwon—a short film I created that explores what it feels like to be torn down so much, that as you look at your reflection, you're not able to recognize who you are… or worse, not accept what you see.

This isn’t just a story. It’s a reality for many who are treated as misfits; as if the world wasn’t built for them.
