A long time ago, these construction worker dudes got together and started homebrewing in a former mechanic's shop. It snowballed out of control from there. Pre White Rooster we would have what we called "The Classy Homebrew Throwdown." We would just brew mad quantities of homebrew and throw a big party out in the middle of nowhere. These were the early beginnings of what is now White Rooster Farmhouse Brewery.
Ten years ago, we bought the building the brewery is in now. Spent a year rehabbing it ourselves and a little over 9 years ago we opened the doors and started selling beer to the public.
A lot can change in the course of 9 years. Lifestyle changes, interests, market trends, etc. Now, to the point here. The three of us agreed in the beginning that once we felt burnt out and this felt like a job that we would toss in the towel. Well, that time has come. The combo of burn out, trends, lifestyle changes, etc. has led us to making this post. It's time for a new chapter in our books.
This being said, our license expires on June 30th, and we do not plan to renew it this time around. Next Sunday will be our last day opened. We are peacing out the beer world. It has definitely been a blast. Anybody that knows us can say that we partied this thing into the ground. We old now. Beer is still fun to make. But no longer fun to make a living off of. It's been real. Thanks to everyone who supported us for the last 9 years. See ya'll down the road.
