The Bellefonte Fire Department will be using the structure at 116 Paradise Road in Benner Township for fire department training. The training will take place Saturday, 6/6 from 8 AM until 4 PM.

The training involves systematically lighting fires in the structure and extinguishing them using fire department personnel. This training is extremely beneficial for firefighters and better prepares them for when structural fires do occur. Fire and smoke will be visible at the address and around the area throughout the day.

A portion of Paradise Road will be restricted to one lane, beginning at 7 AM due to the placement of fire apparatus for the exercise. Fire Police personnel will be on site to assist with directing traffic in the area of the lane closure. Please use caution if you are navigating the area.

The training is being conducted under the supervision of Instructors from the Pennsylvania State Fire Academy. All appropriate permits and permissions have been secured.

The juvenile was seen at Burkholder’s in Spring Mills at 5:00 am this morning. Please push this out to friends in that area.

Missing/ Runaway juvenile

Anyone with information on the location, a 14 year old male from Pleasant Gap, please reach out to Spring Township at 1-800-479-0050.

Could be in possession of a purple bike and sleeping bag.

Was last seen last night around midnight at his family home in the Steeplechase neighborhood.

These two were out enjoying the nice weather in Coleville this morning. Anyone who may know where they belong please contact Spring Twp at 1-800-479-0050.

On May 29, 2026, at approximately 1506 hrs. the Spring Township Police Department was dispatched to a two vehicle cr@$h at the intersection of Zion Road and Hastings Road.

A vehicle waiting to turn into Hastings Road was struck from behind by another vehicle. One driver was flown to Williamaport Hospital with critical injuries. The other driver was uninjured.

The Centre County Crash Reconstruction Team assisted STPD with the investigation on scene. The cause of the cr@$h is under investigation.

*****Myrtle Street/ 550 traffic******

STPD has received numerous complaints recently about traffic making a left-hand turn from Myrtle Street onto W. Water Street. There are no left turns allowed from Myrtle Street onto West water Street. There have been many close calls over the years and recently. Please use caution in the area and do not make a left turn. Officers will be in the area enforcing the no left turn.

Great community event in town this weekend! STPD officers participated in the first annual First Responder Games. It was a perfect weekend in a wonderful community to come out meet everyone. Thank you to HBI for putting this event on! We’ve already started training for next year!
