Rustic Wood

September 11, 2001 — We Remember

Today, we pause to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and to honor the courage of the first responders, service members, and everyday Americans who stepped forward in the face of unimaginable tragedy.

We remember those who never made it home, the families whose lives were forever changed, and the countless acts of bravery, compassion, and unity that followed.

May we never forget.

Don't forget to look up!

Reclaimed wood can make just as much of an impact overhead as it does on a wall. This project features a beautiful tongue-and-groove corral board ceiling paired with a reclaimed wood beam wrap, creating a warm, natural look that brings the entire space together.

The T&G corral board provides a clean, finished installation while still showcasing the variations in color, grain, texture, and weathering that make reclaimed wood so distinctive. Adding the beam wrap takes it another step, giving the space the appearance and character of substantial reclaimed timbers.

It's a great example of how reclaimed materials can be used to add architectural interest without overwhelming a space. Rustic, mountain modern, contemporary—real wood works beautifully with all of them.

A perfect example of reclaimed wood doing exactly what it was meant to do.

We're proud to have supplied the reclaimed wood siding featured on this beautiful Montana home.

One of the things we love most about reclaimed wood is its versatility. It doesn't have to be used only in rustic cabins or traditional farmhouses. As this project shows, reclaimed wood pairs beautifully with clean architectural lines, metal roofing, and contemporary design to create a home that's both modern and timeless.

The natural weathering, subtle color variations, and unique grain patterns give the exterior a warmth and character that new materials simply can't replicate. Every board brings its own history, making the finished home truly one of a kind.

Whether you're building a new home, designing a mountain retreat, or planning your next custom project, reclaimed wood siding is a beautiful way to create lasting curb appeal while honoring the craftsmanship of the past.

We love seeing our reclaimed wood become part of projects like this. Thanks for letting us be a small part of bringing this incredible home to life.

🪵 Friday Feature: Let the Wood Lead the Design

Sometimes the best home projects don't start with a blueprint—they start with a single piece of reclaimed wood.

A beam with incredible grain. A weathered plank full of character. A board that's been waiting decades for its next chapter.

Instead of trying to make every piece fit the same vision, let the wood inspire the project. You might come in looking for material for a shelf and leave with the perfect piece for a fireplace mantel, kitchen island, or custom table.

That's the beauty of reclaimed wood—every board is unique, and sometimes the right piece finds you.

✨ Have you ever changed your project idea because you found the perfect piece of wood? We'd love to hear the story!

If you've never handled reclaimed wood in person, you're missing part of what makes it so special.

Run your hand across the surface and you'll feel:
✔️ Decades of natural weathering
✔️ Rich grain patterns you can actually feel
✔️ Saw marks from another era
✔️ Texture that gives every board its own personality

Photos capture the color—but they can't capture the experience.

That's why we always encourage people to stop by, browse the inventory, and find the boards that speak to their project. Sometimes the perfect piece is the one you weren't expecting.

Have a project in mind? Come get inspired.

One of the biggest design trends today is mixing natural materials with clean, modern spaces. A single reclaimed wood feature can soften sleek finishes and make a room feel warm, inviting, and lived in.

Imagine:
✨ A white kitchen with a reclaimed wood island top.
✨ Black metal railings paired with weathered beams.
✨ Modern furniture against a reclaimed wood ceiling.

It's all about balance—old meets new.

You don't have to redesign your entire home to enjoy the beauty of reclaimed wood. Sometimes one thoughtfully placed piece is all it takes.

As we celebrate America's independence, we're also reminded of the craftsmanship, hard work, and traditions that have been passed down through generations.

Just like the reclaimed wood we love, some things only get better with time. Every weathered board has a story, and every project built with it becomes part of someone else's story for years to come.

Whether you're spending the day around the grill, relaxing at the cabin, watching fireworks, or enjoying time with family and friends, we hope your holiday is filled with laughter, great memories, and a little time outdoors.

Stay safe, celebrate responsibly, and enjoy everything that makes summer in Montana so special.

Happy Independence Day! 🇺🇸🎇

🪵 Some things just can't be mass-produced.

One of the biggest reasons people choose reclaimed wood isn't because it's trendy—it's because every piece has its own personality. The grain, weathering, saw marks, knots, and natural patina were earned over decades, not created in a factory.

Whether you're designing a modern farmhouse, finishing a cabin, or adding a rustic touch to a contemporary home, reclaimed wood creates a focal point that sparks conversation and stands the test of time.

If you're planning a project this summer, stop by and explore our selection. You might find the perfect piece that inspires your entire design.
