2010 suburban, I never want to discourage DIY mechanics, these 6l80s are not fixable by replacing the techm. The torque converter fails wiping out the pump and valve body. Also the cooler has to be flushed before a transmission replacement! You don't want to spend all the money and have it fail because of the metal and material left behind.

Its not always your transmission thats causing shifting issues. Ford F350 came in with shifting issues. Found to truck to have an engine miss fire. 16 spark plugs and new wires, it was running good again and fixed the shifting issues.
