What does it mean if the U.S. Access Board ruled that adult-size changing stations should be put into public restrooms?

If the U.S. Access Board rules that public spaces include adult-size changing stations, these would become a mandated accessibility feature under federal guidelines, similar to the requirements for ramps, elevators, and accessible restrooms under the Americans with Disability Act of 1990. Public buildings, such as government facilities,shopping centers, parks,and airports, would be required to install these stations to accommodate individuals with disabilities who need assistance with hygiene and personal care.This ruling would also establish a nationwide standard, ensuring consistency in accessibility across states and regions.
