• A-Frame building

• Yard games (Yahtzee, Connect Four)
• Dutch oven cookoff

• Rank signoffs and more

Martin Luther King Jr was a Boy Scout in Troop 151 Atlanta Area Council

Today, we pause to remember and honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. May Dr. King's dream for America continue to inspire our Scouts and our nation to do what is right for generations to come.

Please Note: The Council Service Center will be closed today in observance of the holiday.

🍝 TODAY IS THE DAY — Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser! 🍝

Join us TODAY, Saturday, January 10, for our community spaghetti dinner supporting Alexander’s Eagle Scout Project and native habitat restoration at the Salmon Center in Belfair.

All proceeds from this dinner will go directly toward purchasing plants and materials for this important conservation effort.

🍝 Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser — This Saturday! 🍝

Funds raised will go toward restoring native habitat at the Salmon Center in Belfair. The plants purchased through this fundraiser will be installed in the area our Scouts recently cleared, helping strengthen the local ecosystem for years to come.

This project also contributes toward Alexander’s Distinguished Conservation Award, recognizing his commitment to conservation and environmental stewardship.

With the clearing complete, we’re excited to begin the next phase—planting native species to create lasting impact in our community.

🐾 Scouts Helping Search & Rescue — and Having Fun Doing It! 🐾

Last week, a few Scouts & leaders had the opportunity to help out Mason County Search & Rescue during their K9 training—and it was an awesome experience!

The MCSR K9 team meets bi-weekly to train and sharpen their skills, but they can’t do it alone. They rely on volunteer “subjects” to hide in the woods (or wherever!) so the dogs can practice locating missing people. We like to say we were playing hide-and-seek with search dogs 🤪🐕

While it’s fun, this training is incredibly important for real-life situations. You never know when someone might get lost, injured, or off-track and need help being found. These dogs and handlers save lives—and we’re proud to support them.

If you’re interested in helping Mason County Search & Rescue as a volunteer “subject” or want to learn more, let us know—they are always grateful for the help!

Whatever your New Years resolutions may be, Belfair Scouting is here to help boys and girls ages 5-18 get outdoors, learn essential life and outdoor skills, become leaders, and give back to the community!

We have Cub Scouts that meet after school on Thursdays until 5:30 PM for boys and girls ages 5-10.

Scouts meet at 6:30 PM every Tuesday, with monthly campouts for boys and girls ages 10-18.
