HOW DO I FIND MY TREASURED INVENTORY?

I have heard people say they went to some of the places I have shopped and found NOTHING.

- I am a VERY THOROUGH shopper. I have to be, to keep my prices reasonable for YOU. You may see a booth that looks like it has NOTHING you want, but on the bottom shelf, in the back corner, half covered by a unicorn t-shirt, is that one hidden gem at half the price that you would typically pay.
- You have to have VISION. You have to look at rocks as what they can become - JEWELS.
- I may spend 4 hours in a place that some people can walk into and out in 30 min. If I did that, I would not have the car loads that I find.
- If you are an antique or vintage dealer, you have to PUT IN THE TIME TO MAKE THE DIME. And sometimes that is exactly what the payout feels like - a dime. We drive 6 hours to a place, spend 6 hours in a half air conditioned, half sweat shop location, drag the items home, clean them, sometimes repair them, price them, take them to a booth or show where we pay rent, and sometimes commission and credit card fees. At times, it is a grueling process but I LOVE IT. I have done this since the 90’s and hope to continue for decades to come.
- THANK YOU to each of you that come to my booths or visit me at a show. Because of you I get to visit the sweat shops, rusty junk piles, and scary hidey holes. My business continues BECAUSE OF YOU.

What a successful and fun few days! I spent 6 hours in one stop (73,000 sf). My husband dropped me off and went to the movies and who knows what else. He asked if I sat down and took breaks while I was there. That is hilarious. Who needs a break from junkin’??? 😂😂😂

Today me and the girls toured P. Allen Smith’s home and gardens. Here are some of my favorite photos from our day.

Me and Kitty Kat shopped the muddy fields of Junk Ranch on Thursday night and each came away with one treasure but had fun talking to our vendor friends. We trekked on to other stops the rest of the weekend, binge-watched Aunt Penny and Kayla from Little Cahaba Junkin' and saw some interesting things and had some great food. Not crickets or cricket ice cream. 😂
