ASU-Beebe was excited to welcome the University of Arkansas at Little Rock TRIO Program and 26 Upward Bound students from Jacksonville North Pulaski, Sylvan Hills, and Wilbur D. Mills University Studies high schools to our Beebe campus!

During their visit, students explored hands-on learning opportunities across campus, including a session with Ryan Gibbons, Coordinator of Visual and Performing Arts; a murder mystery activity in the Anatomy and Physiology Lab with Dr. Joseph Scott, Dean of Math and Sciences; and a demonstration of a John Deere Inline 6 tractor engine with Tony DiFlorio, Instructor of Agriculture Equipment Technology.

We loved hosting this group and giving them a firsthand look at the exciting programs, people, and possibilities waiting for students at ASU-Beebe.

🔧 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀. 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴. 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲.

Students in the Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVACR) program at ASU-Beebe Searcy Campus are putting their skills to work through hands-on training and a growing partnership with NC3 - National Coalition of Certification Centers.

Last week, students received new NC3 training equipment and took ownership from start to finish — reading manuals, setting clearances, brazing, installing units, wiring, leveling, pulling vacuums, and preparing for the commissioning process using measureQuick technology.

“That kind of hands-on ownership builds a level of confidence you can’t teach from a book,” said Brad Cooper, advanced instructor in HVACR. “These certifications mean something because students earn them through real work, real tools, and real skills.”

Through experiences like this, ASU-Beebe students are preparing for careers that strengthen Arkansas’ workforce and serve communities across the state!

ASU-Beebe is proud to congratulate Conley Reeves of Judsonia on being awarded a $7,500 Carl Tapp Memorial Scholarship from the Arkansas Trucking Association. A graduate of Searcy High School, Conley plans to attend ASU-Beebe Searcy Campus to pursue training in medium/heavy duty truck technology. This scholarship supports students preparing for careers in an essential field that keeps Arkansas and America moving.
