As soon as I saw this poplar I knew it needed some waves. The poplar took well to being carved by the cnc

Second Trail Blazers piece, this time the ripples sharpened into facets. Walnut, maple, and padauk cut on the CNC and sculpted into light catching planes that shift as you move. It feels less like wood and more like energy frozen mid motion. That is the game at Wavy Thought, carving movement, catching rhythm, turning machines and material into something alive.

Before or after, what is your favorite

Between the large carvings and wild experiments, there’s the steady rhythm of making. Signs, charms, tags—simple forms that sharpen the craft while the wavy thoughts swirl in the background.

Last project on my x carve 1000mm. I have upgraded to an X-carve pro 4 x 4 and am stoked for a more ridged and fast machine! More projects coming soon!
