Emmaus Church
We are a community, formed by following Jesus, compelled to tell the story that has given us hope. Luke 24:13-35

We will be gathering in the park after church on Sunday for Stay and Play. This is put on by the Nurture ministry - snacks and drinks will be provided. Plan to come and hangout after service across the street and get to know other families at our church.
Neighboring will cost you. In helping another you may risk your reputation. This happens when we care for others. What also happens is that we are invited to release our hold on our reputation, on our time, on our stuff in order to value and care for those God loves, in order to cherish those God prizes.
Take some time this week to consider where you might make space in your heart for the other.

Hey Emmaus, we hope you're enjoying the weekend. We look forward to gathering and worshipping with you on Sunday. See you at 9am.
May we be transformed as we see clearly the love and grace of Jesus and may we joyfully be sent out as his disciples.

Another easy way for you to participate in serve month is by purchasing items from a wishlist for Angela's House. These items will go into welcome baskets for new residents.
Angela's House provides recovery and transitional housing for women and children escaping homelessness, hunger, addiction and abuse.
Items purchased from the list can be brought to church on a Sunday. We will deliver items at the end of the month.

Ladies Night is happening this Friday! Join us at the Tigard Wildwood Taphouse from 7-9pm. Invite someone you're in community with or maybe be brave and invite a neighbor to join you. Either way, we hope to see you, it will be a good time to hang out and connect with one another.
You can register on the app under events. Registration is encouraged, but not required.
Happy Mother's Day from Emmaus Church!

Pick up a bottle exchange bag on Sunday. Fill it up and drop it at one of the many bottle drop locations around town. The money from your filled bag will go directly to Safe Families. This is an easy way to support a local ministry that is doing amazing work in the community.
Safe Families for Children provides support, community and care to families in vulnerable spots.
This is just one of the many ways we are serving our community in the month of May. Check out more ways on the app home page or see our newsletter.
So the question is, who will you let lead you on the journey of the rest of your life?
