Yesterday, residents, families, and team members at Touchmark at Coffee Creek came together to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country during a meaningful Memorial Day service.
We’re especially grateful to resident and veteran Ben Robinson, who was featured in News 9’s coverage and shared heartfelt reflections from his time serving our country. Stories like Ben’s are an important reminder of the courage, sacrifice, and resilience carried by so many veterans in our community.
At Touchmark, it’s a privilege to celebrate and honor the lives, experiences, and legacies of the remarkable people who call our community home.

This Memorial Day, we pause to honor and remember those who gave their lives in service to our country.
“Just as the name implies, Memorial Day brings many memories. It brings up all the guys and gals who contributed to what we have here today: freedom. We need to remember everything that brought us to where we are now.” – George Furman, Touchmark resident & veteran
Across our communities, we’re grateful for the courage, sacrifice, and legacy of those who made our freedoms possible. Today, we reflect, we remember, and we give thanks.

A few weeks ago, we had the incredible honor of watching one of our own take to the skies once again. ✈️
104-year-old WWII veteran and Touchmark at Georgetown resident Grover Trytten participated in Dream Flights “Spirit of Texas” tour in Georgetown, soaring in a restored 1943 Boeing Stearman aircraft similar to those used to train military aviators during World War II.
This latest story is a follow-up to the Dream Flights coverage, offering a deeper look at Grover’s remarkable service in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II—and the legacy he continues to carry with him.
Moments like these remind us that history lives within our communities—and that adventure, courage, and purpose don’t fade with age.
We’re proud to celebrate Grover’s story and grateful for his service to our country.

There’s something special about being surrounded by history you can see and feel every day 🌿
At Touchmark at All Saints, our campus is home to stunning old-growth, historic trees—creating a setting that invites reflection, connection, and a deeper appreciation for the world around us. For resident Paul DeJong, that environment has become part of his daily rhythm and inspiration.
His latest book, Your Neighborhood Guide to Trees of All Saints and McKennan Park, encourages all of us to slow down, look up, and take in the beauty right outside our door.
We’re proud to celebrate Paul—and the remarkable setting that helps make life here so meaningful.

History came to life at Touchmark at All Saints thanks to the incredible Joe Wiegand, whose Theodore Roosevelt performance never fails to captivate our residents. Joe has visited many Touchmark communities over the years, and he’s truly become one of our favorites. From the storytelling to the unmistakable energy he brings to every performance, he has a remarkable way of making the past feel personal, engaging, and fun. We loved seeing Dakota News Now spotlight his work and the joy he brings to audiences everywhere.

As Nurses Week 2026 comes to a close, we’re reflecting on the incredible impact our nurses have every day.
They bring compassion to every interaction, dignity to every moment of care, and joy to the lives of those they serve.
In senior living, nursing is about more than clinical care—it’s about walking alongside residents and families through life’s journey, building trust, and creating meaningful moments along the way.
To our nurses: thank you for all you do.
And to those considering a career in nursing—there’s a place for you here, where your work is valued, your ideas are heard, and your relationships truly matter.
