I wrote a whole thing about the human need to observe, explain, and control the natural chaos of our world… and how tattoos like this one act as literal and symbolic manifestations of that need. Fortunately for you, I like pictures and figure the photo will do a better job.

Here’s a cute Nessie with clan tartan colors from this weekend! The Loch Ness monster is a very flexible character that can fit into all kinds of body parts - like arm pits!

Welcome 2025 and please welcome the amazing Amanda Pea!! I could go on and on about how great her work is, but as most of you can guess I am a “pictures speak louder than words” kind of person. So, please check her out tattoos !!

It took a while, but it’s all done! Transforming tribal barbed wire into trees of life isn’t easy, but it’s honest work.

It’s about to get gutted and turned into something else, but this was my professional home for the last 3 years. It wasn’t fancy or pretty, but it did exactly what I needed to tattoo safely and quietly during the Covid era.

Next up: a new shop with a better view, closer to home, and positioned right above a tap house and coffee shop. My neighbors are still dentists.
