Initially, I started writing a post about going to the gym on good AND bad days. Then, I started writing this new post…because at the gym, there are no bad days. Sure, there may be days you aren’t feeling as strong, or you aren’t performing your best…but that doesn’t make them bad.
I would argue that going to the gym on “bad” days is actually a GREAT day. Ultimately, through thick and thin, consistency is going to help you reach your goals.
I have days where I don’t have the motivation to go to the gym. I have days where I go to the gym feeling good and leave feeling like I could’ve performed better. No matter the day, I’ve never regretted going to the gym. Peak performance days only happen when you stay consistent (yeah, we are going to be talking about consistency a lot over here 😜)
Imperfect days does not equal failure. It doesn’t mean bad or poor. It equals effort. It equals resiliency. And most of all, it means consistency.
Long story short, there are no bad days at the gym.

Progress is not linear. It is a zig zag path of trial and error. ⚡️
So often, people get discouraged when they don’t see progress right away, or feel like they digress. But it’s important to remind ourselves that this is normal!
Everyone starts from different places. Our goals are not a race. This is why we shouldn’t compare our own personal progress to someone else’s. You need to find the right path for YOU! And get there at a pace that works for YOU! Understand that it takes the majority of people time to figure out their path and pace.
When we enter our journey with the understanding that it’s not going to be a straight and smooth path, it encourages us to stay consistent. Because when it comes down to it, only one true thing will get us to our goals, and that is CONSISTENCY and the ability to keep pushing onward.

Want to get certified in the Boxing & Barbells course in person!? This course is being offered at Brady’s Run Fitness next month, and it’s a course I’m looking forward to taking again. I’ve been a certified Boxing & Barbells instructor for almost 2 years now, and it’s helped me grow so much as a coach!
I love learning from Cary, and I would recommend this whether you are interested in becoming a coach or just looking for the experience!

Every Wednesday will now be Wisdom Wednesday or maybe Wednesday Words…I’m still working on the name but, you get the picture! Every Wednesday will be dedicated to sharing some words I , as a coach, feel are important to share.
Today, I want to talk about my role as a coach and what a good coach is and isn’t.
As a coach, my goal is give you the tools and guidance you need to become a better and happier version of you. It is my job to help you set a realistic game plan that accommodates your lifestyle. It is my job to help you adjust that game plan as your goals change and grow.
It is NOT my job to push you toward goals you don’t have or want. It is not my job to make you feel bad if you have a bad day. It is not my job to judge your life..past, present, or future.

It is my job to make every human being that takes my classes or books a session feels welcome and worthy of the guidance they need to reach their goals. No matter your background, experience, religion, ethnicity, pronouns, etc…you are welcomed here - I will hear you and I will help you!

Hello Friends! If you don’t know me, my name is Madi and I am a Boxing & Barbells and group fitness instructor based out of Brady’s Run Fitness in Beaver, PA.
