Congratulations to Portage Learning's president, Steve Michalik, for receiving an alumni award from his alma mater for his outstanding achievements!

For the third year in a row, NursingABC and Portage Learning are excited to have been named a Top Workplace in the greater Pittsburgh region!

In addition to our Top Workplace award, we also received the Appreciation Award, given to the workplace where employees feel genuinely appreciated by their employer.

These awards are a true testament to the employees of NABC and Portage Learning who strive each day to serve our students and schools with the care and professional expertise that truly makes this a Top Workplace. Thank you all!

We love the opportunity to share our core value of Service beyond students and into the community. It was a great day for Portage faculty and staff to volunteer with Ready Yourself Youth Ranch, supporting their mission of bringing together rescue horses, children in need, and volunteer mentors to create a safe and loving environment ready for healing.

A short while ago, family and friends of Portage Learning and NursingABC gathered at Kennywood Amusement Park for our summer picnic. This year was an extra special gathering as we celebrated 50 years of providing distance education.

50 years of being guided by our values of service, excellence, innovation, and support. 50 years of serving students and schools by removing barriers to a college education.

As our founder, Dr. Ken Hartman, reflected on half a century of service to our students and schools, he encouraged everyone to make the next 50 years even better than the first!

And that is exactly what we plan to do.

50 years of distance education.

How the classes are taught may have changed through the years, but the commitment to you, our students, and your academic achievement has never waivered.

So join us as we celebrate this milestone! But also know that we are already hard at work preparing new courses and new innovative ways to teach them as we anticipate what the next 50 years will hold.

NursingABC celebrates 50 years of educational service to community NursingABC, located in Beaver County, is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2022.

We hope that you have a wonderful and joyous 4th of July!

We salute those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

Nursing education is a big part of what we do at Portage Learning, NursingABC, and the Hartman Initiative.

May 12 concludes National Nurses Week and is also the day we celebrate International Nurses Day.

There is no way to express how much we value, care for, and respect nurses and those who aspire to be nurses!

That being said, we would at least like to buy you a coffee. If you are a nurse or nursing student, please send us a private message, and we will reply with a code for your coffee. We will send codes out to the first 75 nurses who respond or until the end of the day on Friday, May 15, 2022, whichever comes first.
