GTGC High Power Jr Rifle Team

Our time at Camp Perry and the 2026 National Matches has officially come to an end.

We wrapped up the week competing in the prestigious National Trophy Infantry Team Match, better known as "Rattle Battle." While Texas Junior Rifle Team Gold came up short of the top spot, they finished with an outstanding 2nd Place national finish!

Fielding the Gold Team were Wyatt, Garrit (GTGC Junior), Josh, Colbe, Brady, William, Coach Jessie Lewis, and Captain Kristen Morton.

This week was filled with long days, challenging conditions, and fierce competition, but these juniors represented Texas with determination, sportsmanship, and grit. We couldn't be prouder of everything they accomplished at Camp Perry.

🇺🇸 Congratulations to Texas Junior Rifle Team and GTGC Highpower Junior Garrit Morton on an outstanding performance in today's National Trophy Individual Rifle Match at the CMP National Matches!

Garrit earned a Leg Match placement, securing 10 EIC (LEG) points toward the prestigious Distinguished Rifleman Badge with an impressive score of 476-13X.

This is a tremendous accomplishment and a testament to his hard work, dedication, and determination.

What an incredible weekend at Golden Triangle Gun Club! 🇺🇸🎯🔥

Our High Power Junior Advanced Clinic pushed these young athletes to their limits. They battled relentless Texas heat, pouring rain, fatigue, and long days on the firing line, but they refused to quit. Every challenge was met with determination and a drive to get better.

The results? Huge improvements, personal breakthroughs, and goals achieved that these juniors should be proud of. Watching their confidence and skills grow throughout the weekend was nothing short of impressive.

Now it's time for the next challenge! In just a couple of weeks, they'll head to the National Matches, ready to put all of their hard work to the test against some of the best junior shooters in the country.

We're proud of every one of you. Keep believing in yourselves, trust your training, and leave it all on the firing line.
