On June 30, Renee Fillette of Dutchess Outreach convened local leaders in a panel discussion with Commissioner Barbara C. Guinn of the NYS Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance about food as civic infrastructure rather than charity.
Our Director, Jamie, spoke about the need to invest in a stronger more resilient food system (and society) that meets the nutritional needs of our county, our state, and our country.
In addition to those mentioned above, panelists included:
Sue Serino, Dutchess County Executive
Mayor Yvonne Flowers, PKGO
Dr. Livia Santiago-Rosado, Commissioner, Dutchess County Department of Health
Leah Feldman, CEO, Family Services
Gibson Durnford, Tenmile Farm Foundation
