Juneteenth marks the day freedom finally reached those who had been denied it. Today, we honor that history and recommit ourselves to the ongoing work of justice and equality.

Members of Dutchess-Putnam Retirees Local 909 had a membership meeting this week at the I-84 Diner in Fishkill, where they caught up with work friends and heard updates from CSEA staff and vendors. Thank you to everyone who turned out!

If you’re retired but not a member of one of our retiree locals, head over to cseany.org to get signed up! The quarterly Retiree News, produced by CSEA's communications team, includes a listing of upcoming meetings in your area.

CSEA members from Rockland County took part in today's Rockland Pride parade in Nyack! 🌈

With June being Pride Month, this was a show of solidarity. As a union, we believe every worker deserves dignity, respect, inclusion and a voice on the job. Taking part in today's event in Nyack brought together union family who are part of the LGBTQ+ community and allies who came to show their support.

To members we saw along the parade route - both working and there to watch the parade - it was great to see you!

Here's a quick look at our final blitz day in Dutchess County. More photos will be shared in the days to come.

Thank you to everyone who spoke with us at their homes, took part in worksite visits, and provided us with valuable feedback. To our many volunteers, thank you for your hard work!

When it comes to our member engagement blitzes, it's all hands on deck. That means we've had volunteers from not just within the region, but from across the state.

We were thrilled to include amongst our volunteers CSEA Executive Vice President Jarvis Brown and Statewide Secretary Stacey Baldwin Deyo, who joined Southern Region President Rosemarie Kukys today in making member visits in Dutchess County.

Thank you to Dutchess County Local Treasurer Devin Rigolino and Poughkeepsie Library Unit President David Rudin for arranging today's worksite visits!

CSEA officers and activists are key to a successful member engagement blitz!

As we connect this week with members in Dutchess County, we are grateful for all the volunteers from our activist base. In addition to the Dutchess County Local, we have volunteers from the Thruway Authority Local, Taconic DDSO Local, Westchester County Local and more!

We're continuing to have great conversations, answer questions, and spread the word about the changes to Tier 6. If we knock on your door or are at your worksite, come say hi!
