The Fall Kill Watershed Committee is made up of community groups and interested individuals who live or work in the Fall Kill Watershed, which is located in the Towns of Clinton, Pleasant Valley, Hyde Park, Poughkeepsie and the City of Poughkeepsie.

Our this week is the bay anchovy, common in brackish and saltwater reaches of the Hudson, is not the kind we eat on pizza. However, these small (two to four inches long) silvery fish are an important food for striped bass, bluefish and other river predators.

I never cease to be amazed that trees and plants take in carbon dioxide and give off oxygen for us and all other animal beings! ( ❤️ ) And we take in the O2 and give off CO2, which they then recycle! ( 🌎 )
