3D Modeling Mondays is like a fun study group for 3d modeling.

If you're interested in 3D modeling for any reason: 3D printing, design, CAD, architecture, animation, computer games, or anything else, 3D Modeling Mondays is for you!

The goal is to come together every two weeks, work on projects, share what you've done and learned, and help and inspire each other.

All skill levels welcome! If you don't know where to begin, don't worry, we can help.

Until we have a physical makerspace, "Show, Ask, Make" is a series of events where makers can bring their projects (from idea to completed) to show them off, collaborate, and seek advice and inspiration from the group.

These gatherings focus on practical help, whether it's troubleshooting a problem, refining an idea, or just sharing skills and knowledge.

Bring your tools and materials; the emphasis is on what we can learn from each other to advance our projects. It's a direct, hands-on opportunity to engage with and benefit from the collective wisdom of the maker community.

Happy New Year from Makerdale! We're starting off 2024 with our monthly 3D Modeling Mondays event this Monday, January 8th from 6-7:30 PM at the Julia L Butterfield Library in Cold Spring. Fun times at Makerdale's "Snow" and Tell on Tuesday! Here's Dan talking about his light-up christmas sweater project that uses a Flora control board and Neopixel light strips from Adafruit. Thanks again to for hosting. Hope to see everyone at the next Show and Tell networking event in January!

CNC carving was a success, here's the sign that we made! Larry walked us through the process of converting an SVG file into GCODE that his CNC machine can understand. He also covered the board in Oramask to create a stencil at the same time, then spray painted it and removed the stencil to get this nice, clean look. If you're interested in doing this yourself, email or message us and we'll run another one!
