Be proactive! If deportation or arrest by immigration agents is a risk for you or someone you know, create a plan and share it with your loved ones. Make sure to arrange for childcare and memorize a trusted contact's phone number - a lawyer or family member who can help in case of an emergency.

If ICE arrests you, stay calm and let the agents know about any childcare or medical needs. Remember you have the right to speak with an attorney and don't have to sign any documents the agents present.

You're not required to open the door for immigration agents. If ICE is at your door, you have the right to not open it unless they have a valid warrant signed by a federal judge with your correct name and address on it.
