This weekend is gonna be fire on Fire Island!

Set off some fireworks to celebrate...LATERAL SERVICE STARTS June 18, 2020!

Due to a limitation of available equipment we are requesting all passengers call for service. 631-665-8885 We will do our best to accommodate your request in a timely manner. Please be patient as we adjust to this new normal.

The lateral service is not a private ride to your destination and you will likely have to share the space with other passengers. Please keep this in mind when planning to travel with us.

Since social distancing may not always be possible aboard the water taxi all passengers are required to wear a face mask or covering as per the CDC guidelines. Please remember to be kind and courteous to your fellow passengers and our captains, crew, and dispatchers.

3)ONLY 1 person per family/ group may shop at one time to maximize the number of shoppers allowed inside
4) Practice Social Distancing as best as possible while shopping and waiting to check out
5)Please be patient and courteous to our employees and other customers

Fire Island Ferries, Inc. is fully invested in the safety of our employees and customers. We are diligently preparing to maximize our response to the coronavirus situation. Please know that we all share the same concerns.
Our current protocols include:
* Increasing the number of personnel responsible for cleaning and sanitizing our vessels

* Sourcing and providing supplies for hand sanitation both afloat and ashore
* Sourcing and employing appropriate disinfecting products
We will closely monitor the recommendations of all federal, state and local health authorities and will endeavor to implement their recommendations as soon as practicable. At the present time, the recommendation most frequently cited is hand washing frequently and covering your mouth while coughing or sneezing. Fire Island Ferries, Inc. endorses and encourages our employees and our customers to commit to this highly effective practice.
