“Do I Need to Shock a Salt Water Pool?” You probably have a “super chlorinate” setting on your salt water system. This will help temporarily raise your chlorine levels. But it won’t completely replace shocking youu pool. Adding a non-chlorine shock once a week will help remove any used chlorine from the water.
