💜 Two weeks ago, Chase competed at the USA Powerlifting National Championships, standing among the best collegiate powerlifters in the country. 🔥

I had to be at Ava’s competition in Dallas on the SAME DAY, so I watched the livestream — cheering him on and yelling at the judges from afar. Watching him step up and perform at that level, with the composure and strength he’s built through years of hard work and dedication, made my heart so happy.

And it’s not just what he does on the platform. He stays coachable and supportive of his teammates no matter how his own day goes. He works at a gym near campus training others, travels to spot for athletes at other competitions when asked, and just quietly makes good choices — the kind that add up.

If that weren’t enough — he’s doing all of this while carrying a 4.0 GPA on the Dean’s List. The same discipline that loads a bar also fills a notebook.

I couldn’t be more proud of the athlete, the student, the teammate, and the young man he’s become. In life, your only real hope for your kids is that they serve the Lord, do their best in whatever they endeavor to accomplish, and be good citizens in the world. Chase does that — and more.

So whether he’d made nationals or not, I’m forever grateful for my Chasie bug.
