📣📣 We’re heading to the sofa on Good Morning Britain tomorrow morning! 📺

Team Principal Mike Scudamore and rookie driver Callum Smith will be appearing on ITV’s flagship breakfast show on Thursday 17 September at around 8.:20am.

Callum will be talking about the start of his journey with Team BRIT, while Mike will share the story of everything we’ve been building over the past 10 years.

It’s a special fullcircle moment for the team. An appearance by a former driver on Good Morning Britain helped us secure our title sponsor, Brit Insurance, nine years ago. Now, as we approach the end of our first GT3 season, we’re returning with one of our newest drivers.

This Deaf Awareness Month, we’re busting 5 of many myths about being Deaf in motorsports and beyond. Deaf drivers have been racing since the 1950s, possibly further back than that! Deaf-led teams are competing right now, in circuit and off-road. And around the world, from the UK to Japan, real work is being done to make this sport fully accessible.

This one’s for every Deaf gearhead making it happen worldwide.

This isn’t a someday. It’s already here.

Meet two Deaf racers competing in the endurance racing discipline and won some Podiums:

🏎️ Lonnie “DeafStig” Tanenberg — co-founder of Deaf Power Racing and 258 Motorsports, racing a Mazda Miata #258 alongside teammate Jeff Wright, an all-Deaf pit crew, and mentor Randy Pobst.

🏎️ Brian Stromberg — owner/operator of Kachow Racing Team in Washington, competing in the Lucky Dog Racing League with his Mazda Miata and offering rental seats for experienced drivers from Washington and beyond.

So what does endurance racing mean?

Endurance.
