189 banks operate in the Dallas-Fort Worth market. That makes it one of the most crowded banking markets in the country by institution count.
And the three largest hold 64% of all deposits.
So a business owner in Dallas has no shortage of options. The harder question is whether anyone on the other side of the table actually knows their name, their cash flow cycle, or what keeps them up at night before making big decisions that impact their family and their employees'.
b1BANK was built around that harder question. We've never tried to compete on branch count or ad spend. We compete on real relationships with real, local people. We started as a community bank in Baton Rouge in 2006, and as we've grown across Louisiana and Texas, the model hasn't changed. Every client gets a banker who picks up the phone, understands their business, and makes decisions with a local perspective that makes the most sense for their own business.
For small business owners, that means an intital conversation that starts with your story, not a credit algorithm. For personal banking clients, it means tailored deposit solutions by someone who knows your goals, not a call center script.
We built the Ignite Ambition campaign to put the proof on display. Eight founders, from cattle ranchers to cultural institution builders, who trusted b1BANK with the decisions that mattered most. If you're weighing what "community banking" actually looks like in practice, find their stories at in the comments below.

We are deeply grateful to My b1BANK for sponsoring Maddie’s Footprints’ 5th Annual Footprints Forever 5K & 1-Mile Race.
For families experiencing miscarriage, stillbirth, or infant loss, knowing they are not alone can mean everything. Because of compassionate community partners like b1BANK, Maddie’s Footprints can continue providing financial assistance, grief support, and meaningful resources to families during some of their most difficult days.
Your sponsorship is more than support for a race—it is support for grieving families, babies who will always be remembered, and a mission built on walking alongside families when they need it most.
Thank you, b1BANK, for helping us carry this mission forward and for making a difference in the lives of our families.👣🩷💙

57% of small business loan applications get fully funded at community banks. At large national banks, that number drops to 43%.
That 14-point gap comes from the Federal Reserve's 2026 Small Business Credit Survey, and it tells you something important about how capital actually reaches the businesses that need it.
Large banks process volume. They run applications through standardized models designed for scale, and those models work well for borrowers who fit neatly into a template. But a contractor who just landed their biggest project, a restaurateur expanding into a second location, a manufacturer retooling for a new product line, those stories don't always score well on an automated screen.
Community banks underwrite differently. We sit across the table from the business owner. We know the local market, the competitive landscape, the seasonal patterns that affect cash flow. That context turns a borderline application into a funded one, because we can see what the algorithm misses.
The same Fed survey found that 31% of small business loan applicants walked away from larger banks with nothing. For many of those businesses, creditworthiness wasn't the problem. They needed a lender willing to understand their situation before making a decision.
At b1BANK, we've built our lending around that kind of understanding. If you're growing a business and need a banking partner who will sit down and figure out how to make it work, we'd like to have that conversation.
