Should American taxpayers pay a Chinese state-owned company to map our food supply?

Our founder sat down with (host David From) to break down a provision buried in the new ag-security law: up to 90¢ of every dollar to help farmers adopt precision-ag software. Except the dominant recipient is Syngenta, owned by ChemChina, a CCP state enterprise.

That means subsidizing a foreign-controlled company to collect field-level data, GPS coordinates, yields, production, across the American food supply, at scale.

The fix is simple: one amendment excluding foreign-controlled entities, the same playbook we used for Huawei and the CHIPS Act. Keep investing in precision ag for the strength of American agriculture, but keep the data protected under U.S. law and stored on American soil.

Growers and consultants in Vermilion Parish are deep in a growing season that requires thousands of decisions. We were honored that they and the Vermilion Parish Farm Bureau Federation took the time to invite us over to hold a workshop to see an overview of the platform and discuss how it can help them best and how to use it.

We walked through the platform, answered a lot of good questions, and spent over an hour half talking about what their specific needs for FarmMind are and how to best accomplish it with what exists and if changes or additions are needed. That conversation is big part what these workshops are for.
