šØ Buyer Beware: Fake Memorabilia at Silent Auctions šØ
Weāve been seeing more and more questionable āautographedā items popping up at silent auctions, fundraisers, and online listingsāso we wanted to share some important info to help you protect your money.
When it comes to Joe Burrow memorabilia, thereās one key fact:
š Joe Burrow has an exclusive autograph deal with Fanatics.
That means authentic, newly signed Burrow items should come with Fanatics authentication. If you see items claiming to be signed by him with other certificates or no trusted authentication at all, thereās a very real chance they are not legitimate.
Unfortunately, silent auctions are one of the most common places where unauthenticatedāor outright fakeāitems show up. These events are often for great causes, but that doesnāt always mean the memorabilia is verified.
š Before you bid, ask:
ā¢ Who authenticated this item?
ā¢ Is it from a trusted company like Fanatics, JSA, Beckett, PSA?
ā¢ Can the hologram or certification be verified online?
