We’re proud to continue investing in the future of our student-athletes by helping them build strong financial habits early. Today, we opened a Level Up Checking & Savings account with EFCU Financial, giving our athletes real world tools to learn, manage, and take control of their finances.

Last week, we had the chance to talk with the Parkview Baptist football team about the importance of playing with passion and carrying that same dedication off the field. Our DBF Appreciation Initiative had the privilege to serve the Capitol High Football Program Jason’s Deli. We focused on giving effort and eliminating excuses when it came to their daily walk. Together we are DBF strong! >

We had the privilege to connect with Coach Devin Ducote and the West Feliciana football program. They have a group of young men who are well equipped to become successful in life. The message was simple: Your skills are transferable to life after sports. >

To Brayden, Brennon, Don-Trae’, Kaleb and Niran. It has been an absolute pleasure working with you these past four years. Your attentiveness, discipline and work ethic are something we as a society should all strive for. We don’t take it for granted that you decided to connect with our organization. All of you have a gift that the world must see. Nurture and protect your gift. There is a generation behind and in front of you that needs it. God has equipped you with everything you need. Continue to shatter the mold and knock down doors. Don’t follow the pattern but be the pattern. The best is used to come. Forever family. >

DBF member, Laithon Riley wants to own and operate a sports performance facility in the near future. Drexel Perkins, owner of Kingdom Fitness gave him great insight on what it takes to be in the sports performance business and also put Laithon through a nice workout. We want to make sure our students are well equipped beyond their playing days. Our present connections produce future results. >

DBF member, Niran Jackson is why we do what we do. It doesn’t matter if your sports career ends, your life doesn’t. His identity in life is far beyond the playing field. Great leader, great example and we are extremely grateful to have been a part of his journey. >
