Bicycle Brew Club

Hey local brewers,
It's time for the next meeting of the Bicycle Brew Club, 7:00pm this Thursday, February 26th, at Cypress Coast Brewing Company (5643 Government St). Thursday is trivia night at Cypress, which starts at 6:30pm. I'll get there early to grab a table for us and signup the club to play - anyone is welcome to show early and join me if you want. Roux BBQ will be cooking food out front, but you can bring in your own snack or takeaway - Anthony's is just a couple of doors down, check their hours ahead.

At this meeting, we will debrief on this year's 14th Annual Brew Off and look ahead to the Zapp's Beer Fest, which has been rescheduled from March to the first Saturday in May (2nd), the same day as the Kentucky Derby.

Happy holidays and be welcomed to this month’s Bicycle Brew Club meeting, a bottle share at 7:30pm this Thursday, December 18th, at Juliet’s, address below.

We’ll be planning for our 14th Anniversary Feast and Club Brew Off, scheduled for Saturday, January 31st, at our usual spot. We’ll address things like any voting change suggestions, beer games, malt/hops availability, and the raffle.

Also, please be advised that Zapp’s has been announced, Saturday, March 7th.

We've got Cap City Beer Fest coming up! If you haven't registered already, it may be too late. But no matter, come to Club anyway, help us make plans for that and for our club's Tour de Brew, if we're extending it another year.

We’ve got a few things on the horizon, but nothing more than Friday after next’s Brew at the Zoo. We’ll be getting our game plan in order and looking down the road at Cap City, as well.

It’s time for our next club meeting. Gus will host a bottle share at his house this Thursday, 8/28, at 7:30pm. Please bring the usual good beer and a snack or dish to share. DM for address info.

At the meeting, we need to make our fall plans official by working out Brew at the Zoo (Fri, 9/26), Cap City Beerfest Sun, 11/2) and our Tour de Brew.

Capital Area Craft Trail 2025, Day 1 progress.

Hey local brewers,
It’s time for our next brew club meeting. This month may be a two parter, or even three. That’s up to you. It’s the annual Craft Brew trail around the surrounding parishes and it starts this Friday at 5pm. We can’t do them all on Friday, but we can make a dent.
Game plan:
6:30pm meet at Cypress to Passport up. Get stamped, move out.
Next stop is Rally Cap for a tick; and then down to the Crossings on Airline where there are a couple of breweries, including Agile, as well as a couple of distilleries also on the trail.
If you’d like to ride with me, I can carry four, possibly five others comfortably. (Please message me if you think you’re going with me and I'll send you the meetup spot.) I’ll be heading to Cypress at 6:15pm.
