Greetings,

I believe in the United States of America, as a government of the people, by the people, for the people; whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed; a democracy in a republic; a sovereign Nation of many sovereign States; a perfect union, one and inseparable; established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice, and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes.

I believe it is our duty to our country to love it, to support its Constitution, to obey its laws, to respect its flag, and to defend it against all enemies, foreign and domestic.

The time has come for us as Masons to turn the corner on the issues within, to ensure its longevity. We find ourselves at a moment in history when our people, specifically, and humanity, more generally, yearn for the type of service and advocacy Masons once rendered. On this Fourth of July weekend, I hope you are reminded of what our country is supposed to stand for and what our Fraternity must stand for, again.

A woman called for a highway’s removal in a Black neighborhood. The White House singled it out in its infrastructure plan. President Biden is proposing a $20 billion fund to address damage caused to neighborhoods of color by highway construction.
