Originally built in 1902, the Hotel Blanche became known for its luxury, welcoming guests like Johnny Cash and Al Capone before it closed its doors in 1967.
In 2018, DNA Workshop's hospitality team was tasked with bringing the historic site back to life.
Our architects and designers embraced the historic charm of the 56,000 sf property, seamlessly combining the old and the new.
The transformation prioritized guest flow, flexible public spaces, and back-of-house functionality. Historic architecture was thoughtfully adapted to support the demands of modern hotel operations.

Today, we're thankful for projects just like this one - where we're able to completely change lives by transforming people's homes.
WM at the River is made up of two 12-story towers with 298 units that serve senior and disabled residents. Our design team's renovation fully gutted each unit, added new amenities like a library, addressed aging systems and infrastructure, and transformed the long-neglected property into a vital senior housing community with dignity.
