Hey friends 💜
I’m hosting a continuing education class here at The Muscle Manipulators and wanted to share in case it’s been on your radar or feels aligned.
🗓 May 2 + May 3
📍 3053 Old Forge Dr Suite B, Baton Rouge, LA 70808
This is The Sage Method: Somatic Fascia Flow — a 16 CE hour, in-person course approved by NCBTMB and the Louisiana Board of Massage Therapy, taught by Rebekah Sweet Reiland.
It’s a really thoughtful, practical approach to working with fascia and the nervous system, especially if you’re looking for ways to work with the body instead of against it.
If you’re a Louisiana Massage Therapist looking to expand your approach and learn something new, this could be a really great fit.

One thing I say in here all the time… and yes, I still have to remind myself too.
Try not to meet your pain with fear.
Fear makes your body tighten.
It starts guarding.
It holds on instead of letting go.
Instead, get curious.
Where is it really?
Does it move?
Does it change when you breathe or shift?
Your body is always communicating with you.
We just have to slow down enough to actually listen.

Taking care of your body isn’t always about long workouts or perfect routines, sometimes it’s just about small moments of self-care.
I say this to my clients all the time… and yes, I have to remind myself too.
It doesn’t have to be complicated.
You don’t need an hour.
You don’t need a perfect routine.
A few minutes of foam rolling, moving your joints, checking in with your body, it matters.
Consistency beats intensity every time.
If your body has been feeling tight or off, don’t ignore it.
Give it a little self-care and see what happens.
Sometimes I don’t think it’s a lack of passion that pushes people out of this field, but exhaustion.
On the days that feel heavier than usual, what steadies you? 💆🏻♀️
This profession should feel safe.
What’s helped you protect your space and peace of mind — intake forms, phone consults, scripts?
Quick question for other therapists —
do you post open spots on social when you have them?
Has it been worth it?
Some days I’m really aware of how much this work lives in my body.
Curious what you wish you’d known early on about taking care of yourself in this profession.
