Happy to Greg Delanty and his macaw companion, Sweeney! "Sweeney Now," Delanty's new poetry collection, is both a riff on the twelfth-century Middle Irish poem Buile Shuibhne (The Frenzy of Sweeney), in which a king believes a curse has turned him into a bird, and an exploration of what it's like to be a deracinated person and poet today, spending much of his time away from his native Ireland in the U.S.
