Who has the authority to tell you who you are?

That question stayed with me through years of bringing people together across racial and cultural lines. It led me to write I Am Not a Black Man: Embracing True Identity.

The title may stop you. I hope it also invites you to hear my story. I write about growing up in the segregated South, the labels people place on one another, and the identity I have found in Christ.
