PResentation is Everything! Keep these tips in mind next time you PRepare to get dressed.

✨Your Look Is Your First Pitch.
Before you speak, your appearance is already communicating. In PR, your presence is part of your strategy. Clean, intentional, and aligned with the room you’re walking into.

✨Dress for the Story You Represent.
Your outfit should match the tone of the brand, client, or moment. Media day? Sleek and neutral. Creative brainstorm? Elevated casual. Crisis comms? Polished and steady. Your wardrobe is a storytelling tool.

✨Professional ≠ Boring.
PR thrives on personality. Add subtle color, texture, or accessories that feel like you—just refined. Think: statement watch, structured blazer, clean sneakers, or a signature color that becomes part of your personal brand.

✨Comfort Is a Power Move.
You can’t advocate, negotiate, or present well if you’re uncomfortable. Choose pieces that let you move, breathe, and stay confident through long days, tight timelines, and last‑minute pivots.

✨Consistency Builds Credibility.
People trust what they can predict. When your look is consistently polished, you reinforce your professionalism before you ever open your mouth. Show up like someone whose name belongs in the room.

Black History Month isn’t just about looking back — it’s about understanding the storytellers who shaped the industry we’re stepping into.

Today we honor three pioneers whose work still guides the way we practice PR:

✨ Inez Kaiser — the first Black woman to run a national PR firm, opening doors in an industry that wasn’t built with her in mind.

✨ Moss Kendrix — the strategist who transformed brand storytelling, including Coca-Cola’s first campaign centering Black consumers.

✨ Barbara Harris — a corporate communications trailblazer who redefined what leadership looks like in boardrooms and newsrooms.

Their legacies remind us that PR isn’t just messaging — it’s movement, representation, and narrative power.
