The Red Shoes: A Center for Personal and Spiritual Growth

06/06/2026

We are filled with gratitude for Lesley Kernan and everyone who joined us for Dance Oracle at The Red Shoes this afternoon.

Through movement, reflection, and the wisdom of oracle cards, Lesley guided us in creating personal movement mantras: embodied reminders of the intentions, strengths, and truths we want to carry forward. It was a beautiful experience of listening to our bodies, trusting our intuition, and connecting with one another in a spirit of play and discovery.

Thank you, Lesley, for sharing your gifts and creating such a meaningful space for our community. We left inspired, energized, and more deeply connected to ourselves.

✨ What mantra is guiding you right now?

It’s that time of year again! 🧡🥫🥪

The Fill the Fridge July Campaign is back!

Last July, Baton Rouge showed up in a big way, helping keep our Community Fridge stocked with fresh food and essentials for neighbors in need.

But what inspires us most is that the support didn’t stop when July ended.

Throughout the year, individuals, families, businesses, and community groups continued to give what they could so others could take what they needed.

Now we’re inviting you to do it again.

This year, we’re excited to unveil major improvements to the Community Fridge site, including two new refrigerators and an expanded pantry space that will allow us to serve even more neighbors. These upgrades are the result of incredible community partnership and generosity.

A special thank you to .tuesday for leading the rebuild efforts and to and for helping make this vision a reality. Because of your support, this resource will have an even greater impact on food access and community care in Baton Rouge.

Together, we can keep the fridge full and the community fed.
