Cette nuit j’ai rêvé que j’étais au volant et que je n’arrivais pas à appuyer sur le frein (…) Ce qui m’amène à: quelques images nostalgiques de cette dernière aventure itinérante - la tournée c’est comme une petite vie dans la vie! Et je la chéris! Celle-ci aux côtés de que je connaissais à peine - j’ai appris à le connaître sur la route avec un mélange de joie et d’effroi (je rigole❤️) et j’ai adoré l’entendre chanter avec dévotion et intention ses chansons tous les soirs. Quand je lui ai demandé comment était ma conduite (étant novice), il m’a dit qu’il avait « seulement eu peur deux fois » (…)
Il m’a aussi dit qu’il n’avait jamais employé le mot « glousser » jusqu’à ce qu’il me rencontre (…) 🐓🍗
Et j’en passe…..
Merci aux gens qui nous ont accueilli - je repense à cette phrase dans la chanson de Randy Newman qu’on a écoutée dans la voiture un jour de pluie, quelque part dans le Périgord « human kindness is overflowing »
Quant aux quelques moments d’ingratitude qui font partie de cette vie de music-hall, au moins ils étaient partagés et devenaient… presque… drolatiques
Affublée à vie -il semblerait - d’un esprit fantasque et nostalgique, j’en garderai un souvenir romanesque et chasserai le sentiment encore et encore tel un vieux cow-boy délirant 🐎 Yodelay hee hee 🎶

The fact I wasn’t invited to ONE SINGLE Halloween party doesn’t mean I didn’t dress up!!
Meet my alter ego, 💲Darling Clementine💲: a gentle yet possibly syphilitic *lady of the night* from the local saloon. She likes her coffee black and strong, with a splash of liquor from the flask she keeps in her corset, within her ample bosom.
Her heart got irrevocably broken when the ragtime pianist for whom she had been holding a torch died from a stray bullet, while on the job at his piano. When his head fell on keys from the blow, it hit the most devastating minor chord that Clementine still hears whenever the o***m wears off.
He was going to take her away from this dump and make a decent lady out of her…. Now she can only bide her time, waiting for her (premature) demise - wearing the heart-shaped locket he gave her as a token of his unfaltering affection and only taking it off when performing her laborious, ungodly duties.
At the end of her shifts, after washing the stench of drunken men off herself, she leans on the run-down and out of tune piano and sings melodies so poignant they make the horses outside whinny and the low-lives go home to their sickly wives.
