Your input remains crucial, as it will significantly influence the shaping of BREC's plan for the next decade. You can participate by attending one of the in-person workshops below or an online opportunity. During the workshops, expect educational stations, interactive games, and chances to express your views on BREC's future priorities.

Baton Rouge healthcare stakeholders came together to learn more about providing quality medical care for the more than 800 adults in our community who are currently unhoused, living on the streets or in shelters.

Dr. James O'Connell, president of Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program shared his insight and experience on how to effectively address the medical needs of these patients. His willingness to meet his patients experiencing homeless right where they are is inspiring and we were grateful to be a part of this collaborative effort.

February is National Cancer Prevention Month. We couldn't let this month pass by without highlighting a Launchpad Innovation Pilot Project that is successfully catching cancer early and saving lives of Louisiana women.

Led by Pennington Biomedical Research Center and in partnership with Our Lady of the Lake, Woman's Hospital, and LSU Health New Orleans, this Launchpad Pilot Project is focused on early detection of endometrial cancer which is currently the fastest growing cancer in young women in Louisiana.
