After the original salvage store burned to the ground in 1967, the facility was demolished and remodeled into a brand new home center, which laid the groundwork for the company you see today. Under the current leadership of father-son duo, John and Matthew Holmes, Holmes Building Materials has expanded its reach and services to include two full-line hardware stores with showrooms, a specialized contractor division, a fleet numbering 100 strong, a Do it Best seal of approval and a staff who is trained, committed and ready to help with all of your building needs.

Window Wednesday | Covington, LA 🪟
We’re excited to share a first look at a unique project taking shape in Covington, the future home of Matthew Voelkel, Owner and Principal Designer of studioMV Designs.
Designed by studioMV Designs, with Jessica McCormick Walker and Matthew Voelkel, the home is currently getting its Quaker window package, installed by Chris Jenkins. Our own Jimmy McDaniel has been working closely with the team on the window side of the project.
It’s always exciting to see a designer’s vision come to life, especially when it’s his own home.
We’ll be following this one as it progresses, so stay tuned for more along the way!
