Bad B wasn’t born in the winner’s circle. It was born in a rehab stall.
I’ve noticed a lot of new faces around here lately, so I figured it was time to reintroduce myself. 💚
Hi, I’m Brooke, owner and founder of Bad B Performance Horses.
I’ve been in the arena since I was five years old, and horses have always been my passion. By my sophomore year of high school, I knew I wanted to own my own business and rodeo — and my mom encouraged me to chase both.
Life took me down a few unexpected roads, but my roots always brought me back to horses. Over time, that passion grew into something bigger: helping horses feel and perform their best, and helping their owners feel confident in the decisions they make for them.
As a barrel racer, I know that feeling when you know your horse and can tell something is off. Walking through surgeries, injuries, setbacks, and rehab with my own horses changed the way I looked at performance.
I learned pretty quickly that it isn’t built from one treatment, one workout, one person, or one quick fix.
It’s built through a team.
Veterinarian. Farrier. Dentist. Therapist. Trainer. Owner. Rider.
Different roles, one goal: doing what’s best for the horse.
And that became the foundation of Bad B.
Around here, you’ll see rehab, conditioning, performance prep, rodeo life, education, behind-the-scenes chaos, and probably a few questionable decisions along the way. 😂
You’ll also figure out pretty quickly that I’m not exactly shy. I’ve always been a little bold — whether it’s what I wear, what I say, or the humor that usually comes with it. I believe in being genuine, speaking up when it matters, and never being afraid to do things a little differently, which probably explains the business name. 😉
But underneath all of it is the same thing that started this journey: a love for the horse.
Our mission is simple:
Help horses feel better.
Help them perform better.
And help the people who love them feel confident knowing they have a team behind them.
So if you’re new here, welcome to Bad B. 💚🖤 We’re glad you’re following along.

Restore. Rebalance. Perform.
The Bad B Way.
Last night I shared that 7 out of the Top 14 had one thing in common… BAD B. 💚🖤
But THIS 👇🏼 is the part I really want to talk about.
The Bad B team has been working hard to help these horses feel and perform their best, but the biggest results don’t come from one person doing one thing.
It takes a TEAM.
And more importantly, it takes people who are willing to work together for the horse.
Being at Ty and Morgan Anderson’s yesterday was such a good reminder of exactly why that matters. The conversations between the caretakers, trainers, owners and therapists are where you start putting the whole story together.
What are they feeling under saddle?
What are we noticing during sessions?
What has changed?
What does the horse need next?
That communication matters.
When the trainer, veterinarian, farrier, dentist, therapist, owner and everyone involved can communicate and work toward the same goal, THAT is when we can make the biggest impact on the horse’s overall wellbeing and performance.
We’re not looking to replace anyone on your team.
We want to become another valuable piece of it. 💚
A huge thank you to Ty and Morgan for welcoming us in, and to their incredible owners for trusting the Bad B team with your equine athletes.
We do this for the horses — and the best results are never achieved alone.
Thank you Brooke Romig for putting on such a smooth and safe race!
Now for some of our favorite highlights from last night. 👀🔥

7 OUT OF THE TOP 14…Have ONE thing in common. 👀
Any guesses?!
I’ll give you a hint… BAD B. 🖤💚
Proud is an understatement. There’s something pretty special about seeing the work behind the scenes show up where it counts. 🔥💪🏼
Plan. Prepare. Perform.
Sometimes the biggest wins come from the losses. 💚
How can a loss be a win?
Because sometimes success isn’t about the check, the placing, or even a clean run. It’s about so much more…
Lolo and I have had setback after setback this year. What started as an abscess in April turned into multiple leg injuries and challenges. And even as an equine therapist, it gets frustrating when it’s your own horse and you just want them to feel good again.
I promised myself a long time ago that I would never give up on my own — and that my own horses would always be some of my greatest teachers.
We hit barrels on both runs this weekend — apparently I need to learn how to leg lift 😂 — but I’m still counting this weekend as a WIN.
Why?
Because my horse worked like herself again.
She felt GOOD.
And most importantly… she was happy.
Sometimes the win isn’t on the score sheet. Sometimes the win is realizing just how far you’ve come. 💚
And this weekend, that was enough for me.

Race day prep is officially underway. 💚
Everybody has their thing — THE ONE part of their routine they swear by and refuse to skip.
So I want to know… What is THE ONE thing you absolutely never skip when prepping your horse for race day?
For me? I’ll keep it simple because, let’s be honest, I have a LOT of things 😂 — but you better believe I am never skipping my medication routine. If I miss that, I’m not running. PERIOD.
Drop yours below 👇 I’m curious to see how different everyone’s routines are.
