Last trip we lost the anchor. I had a fire hose over the chain and I guess it was covering the the knot. Took several years to wear through. Check your anchor rode frequently to save some money.

Just like that it is hunting season. Have my camo guitars strap for my oxygen. And my favorite Speckled Trout bait. Mine is a silver flash chartreuse back long A. What's your favorite trout bait and show it?

Pan seared Speckled Trout, roasted sweet potato, and oven baked vegetables. Trout were coated with Spicy Calabrian infused olive oil. Then I coated them with Paul Prudhomme's Seafood Magic and Blackened Redfish Magic on both sides. A lemon was squeezed over them.

In a large saucepan, the infused olive oil was heated to 350 degrees and the fillets were put in and then flipped after a couple of minutes. I removed when done, and placed on a cookie rack. Libby Polk Cartwright said it was the best fish she has ever eaten. I have cooked her a lot of fish.

Try it for a healthier option than frying in seed oil.

I love upgrades that are a little bit of a project. What about you?

I bought a barely double rifle case in 90 or 91. Fairly nice except the two middle latches were missing. I think I got it for 20 bucks when I worked at Security Sporting goods. I have cussed it many times over the years. Especially when hooking the latch on one end and going to the other end and pressing it down only to find the top handle has fallen inside the case.😱 One of the only two latches twisted off and I couldn't twist it back on without getting some tools and of course I was running late heading to the camp. I grabbed the case by it's two handles and put in the back seat and headed out........as soon as I got back home and unloaded the guns, it went in the trash can that was on the street already. Good riddance! Upgraded a wee bit last week. A little heavier than the old one, but hey it has six latches and wheels! 🎉😎👍💪
